The joys of baking with just one bowl to wash

Many of us like to prepare a homemade food, even on a weekend, but not very crazy about baking projects (these projects need to run to two grocery stores to get ingredients that are difficult to purchase and process them in a few hours) Several components - if not days). We also don't like to cook. I don't think I'm the only one who gathers sweetness for most of the night, put it in the oven, turns to a sink full of dirty bowls, small molds and measuring cups, and thinks, "I will again Not doing this."

Well, baking in a single bowl, you may never.

For unfamiliar people, single bowl baking is suitable for busy people who like to bake delicious foods with simple, easy-to-understand recipes and use food-friendly ingredients to mix quickly with just one bowl. For those of us who are often looking for time-saving methods for meal preparation, I really hope that we can find a quick way to make desserts (in any case, this is everyone's favorite dish, right?).

A bowl of baked food is basically the dessert world equivalent to a pan dinner. Just as assembling a dinner in a pan or a "bowl" (ie: in an instant cooker or slow cooker) continues to tend to be shorter for us these people, this is not a jump to get a recipe for sweets, just as effortlessly prepared (and cleaning up) can easily become a hit.

In fact, Google search shows a large number of single-bowl baking recipes, including chocolate snack cakes, blackberry cobblers and cheesy chocolate muffins with prosciutto and leeks.

But what about the recipes for eating dogs in your recipes? Or secretly tear it off from the doctor's office magazine; or add a bookmark from your favorite blog? In other words, for your son's birthday cake, your mother's Christmas cookie box and your roommate "I broke up with my boyfriend - again" sympathize with caramel, what have you done with the recipe again and again? If you can change these recipes into a bowl of wonders with some simple adjustments and twists and turns?

To simplify my baking, I have some strategies that I rely on over and over again, and you can. Of course, not every recipe can be converted - for example, those who ask for separate egg yolks and white wines will never make a single bowl of miracles - but the favorite ones include upside down cakes, pavlovas, whoopie pies and many other foods. Converted to a - bowl component. Here, I share the tools that each single bowl baker needs in their arsenal, and some of my favorite techniques for using them for work.

A bowl of BAKER'S kit

The large glass mixing bowl is not only a "dirty bowl", it is assembled with many single bowl recipes, and is also an ideal container for formulating the beginning of melting butter (or chocolate) in a microwave oven. A large metal mixing bowl can also work, but to heat its contents, you must make a temporary double boiler on a pot of water on the top of the stove. There is almost no tragedy, but the glass bowl and microwave oven simplify the process.

A large (4 cup) glass measuring cup not only measures the liquid content, but also like a large glass mixing bowl, which can easily melt chocolate and butter in a microwave oven, but it is also an ideal container for egg cleaning. For example, brush cookies.

Digital scales for measuring dry ingredients undoubtedly reduce the number of dirty utensils that need to be cleaned. Fortunately, for single-baker bakers, many baking recipes now include weight measurements (I prefer those that require grams, which are smaller, more precise than ounces, so it's easier to use.) I still recommend Stick to your liquid measurement tools (such as glass measuring cups), but when you put a scale on the kitchen counter, the dry ingredient cup and (usually) the measuring spoon will become pleasingly obsolete.

Fine mesh screens are essential to ensure that your dry ingredients are mixed together and then added to the wet ones, as you will not first stir them in a separate bowl. Filter the dry ingredients directly onto a mixing bowl or a piece of parchment (my favorite).
